We have been able to more than double our Steam wishlists count and have now more than 100.000 outstanding wishlists (still increasing day by day).
Over 25.000 gamer played the Fata Deum demo and over 2.000 feedback forms have been filled out! Thereby, we decided to move the release date to 2023. The cooperation with the publisher means more money and more quality for Fata Deum before we release to EA, but it also means: a later release! The Steam Next Fest has been a great success and we received a lot of new input (2000+ filled out queries…) so this needed time 😊 So, it is very great that our publisher supports us in this direction! So currently we are still in this transformational process while improving the AI in the meantime (code-aspects are really high-priority right now).Īs AI improvements or the mentioned organizational aspects are quite difficult to demonstrate via an update, we have not much to share right now, sorry!īut things are going very well for Fata Deum and the mentioned steps will results in an improved development speed during this year and also allows us to already have much better support at the begin of the EA phase (instead of ramping these things up after getting new budget during the EA release). To achieve this, we needed to change things organizational and code-wise.

The aim of this god-game now on Steam is to raise armies, summon demons, and wield the forces of nature to alter your lands, so you can smite your enemies and bless your loyal followers. And at night, do you even want to know? At night you can influence your people through their dreams and manipulate them into building temples, farms, or anything else that tickles your fancy. Your powers as a god vary as well because, during the day, you can bless and even inspire the inhabitants to do deeds of goodwill, but if you want to spice it up, you can also terrify them with horrific visions.
If you don’t know about the game, Fata Deum puts you in the role of god for this fictional land, where you will compete with other gods for the faith of its citizens – there’s something quite sinister about that. Check out the gameplay below first before you play, though. Rule over tiny humans with your mighty power in this rehashing of the god-game genre, but do it quickly because the demo is only available until the end of the month.
The ambitious god-game, which is developed by 42 Bits Entertainment and published by Hooded Horse, doesn’t get released until later in the year, but fret not because you can now play the demo which has just dropped in preparation for the upcoming Steam Next Festival.
